Qualified employees

... thanks to outstanding education and further education

Upper Franconia, with its dense industrial structure made up typically of medium-sized firms, has created a hard working, reliable and loyal type of person. Upper Franconians identify with their companies. They are well educated, motivated and diligent. The level of sickness is the lowest in the whole of Germany. The labour market offers a comprehensive range of experienced workers for industry, commerce and the service sector. Salary levels and the cost of living are noticeably lower than those in the large population centres.

Upper Franconia has outstanding educational and further-education facilities, both in terms of quality and quantity and particularly in the area of logistics. Places on business-management courses with an emphasis on logistics are available at the universities of Bamberg and Bayreuth as well as at the technical college in Hof. The Bayreuth Chamber of Commerce also offers educational and further-education courses in the area of logistics cost control. The Hof Logistics Forum has regularly been informing executives in the areas of services, production and commerce about the latest trends in cooperative logistics since 1998.
